Sonography Synovitis Course

The Scottish Rheumatology Ultrasound Group, formed in 2010, has the notable reputation for educating health professionals in the application and technique of bedside ultrasound. This course is useful for those seeking an introduction to musculoskeletal ultrasound and those seeking to increase their proficiency in this modality. This workshop is available to health care professionals and medical staff with an interest in ultrasound imaging in clinical Rheumatology.
Summary of Content
Basic ultrasound skills will be demonstrated in the focused area of Rheumatology ultrasound for hand, wrist, and foot by delivering the theoretical underpinning whilst students engage in practice. This workshop is led by Scottish Rheumatology Ultrasound Group (SRUG) Faculty (endorsed EFSUMB tutors).The fundamental scientific principles of B-Mode and power Doppler will be demonstrated with practical ultrasound scanning techniques applied for the hand, wrist and foot.
Learning Outcomes
The course which includes ultrasound examination in order to obtain standard sonographic images of the hand, wrist and foot" demonstrate an applied knowledge of sonoanatomy relating to sonography of the hands, wrist and foot".
