 nce to be held in Curacao on September 14th and 15th 2018. Antibiotic Stew
 ardship is the development\, promotion and implementation of activities to
  ensure the appropriate use of antibiotics. Antimicrobial stewardship is a
  coordinated program that improves patient outcome\, reduces microbial res
 istance and decreases the spread of infections caused by multi-drug resist
 ant organisms.Misuse and overuse of antimicrobials is one of the world’s m
 ost pressing public health problems. Infection organisms adapt to the anti
 microbials designed to kill them\, making the drugs ineffective. People in
 fected with antimicrobial-resistant organisms are more likely to have long
 er\, more expensive hospital stays\, and may be more likely to die as a re
 sult of an infection.Labknowledge Foundation aims through this conference 
 at bringing together well-known personalities around the Caribbean\, creat
 ing a platform for Medical practitioners\, Medical technicians\, Pharmacis
 ts and Healthcare providers to exchange ideas\, knowledge and encourage ne
