 monology departments and Tuberculosis coordinators of Curacao Medical Cent
 er and Horacio Oduber Hospital Aruba\, we are organizing the first regiona
 l Tuberculosis conference! Our goal is to improve awareness and interislan
 d collaboration on this infamous disease.\nFailure to recognize tuberculos
 is can quickly lead to major health issues in society. Knowledge and exper
 tise are under pressure due to an expected decrease in the number of patie
 nts over the years. It is important that doctors and laboratories continue
  to guarantee their knowledge and quality in this field.\nWe have prepared
  an exciting program that will focus on recognizing the clinical picture o
 f (latent) TB\, treatment options\, and pitfalls. Also\, there will be inv
 olvement of complicated cases like extrapulmonary TB\, patients using immu
 nosuppressants\, or patients co-infected with HIV. There will also be time
  for practical workshops\, intercollegial networking\, and asking question
 s to our (international) experts.\nLearning goals\n\nRecognizing a patient
  with TB (up to date knowledge about epidemiology/clinic)\nGetting an over
 view of current diagnostic and treatment options for (latent) Tuberculosis
 \nHow and where to refer a patient with TB (with/without impaired immunity
 )\nHow TB infection prevention in and outside the hospital is organized\nO
 rganizing (existing) collaborations within the Caribbean better\n\nTarget 
 audienceGP’s\, specialists in Infectiology-Pulmonology-Public Health\, Pub
 lic Health nurses\, other interested Health Care workers\nFor attendance i
