ribbean Colorectal Cancer Screening’Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the most co
mmon type of gastrointestinal cancer and the third most commonly diagnosed
cancer worldwide1. The incidence in men is higher than in women\, approxi
 mately 23 versus 16 per 100 000 respectively2. In 2018 over 850 000 people
died of CRC. The numbers are expected to increase over time\, with data s
howing an expected 3 million active cases by 2040. This burden of disease
makes CRC an important global health issue. The goal of population screenin
g is to prevent the occurrence of colorectal cancer (the screening detects
a pre-stage) and to find existing cases. Prevention is achieved by identi
fying developed polyps (advanced adenomas). The Caribbean Prevention Cente
r\, Fundashon Prevenshon (FP\; Willemstad\, Curaçao) has launched populati
on screening on Curaçao in June 2020. \nDuring the mini-conference present
ation prof. Evelien Dekker\, a gastroenterologist at the Amsterdam UMC\, l
ocation AMC\, will present the implementation of colorectal cancer screeni
ng (CRC-S) in the Netherlands in the period 2014-2018. \nIn addition resul
